In my last post I promised to bring you some family background. Well, my intentions were good, but I have been so busy having fun, making shoes with the Drama Masters students of Rhodes University, that I haven’t had time to do the necessary gathering of family material. So instead, I will show you what we have been up to in the studio, and we will climb the family tree in a later post.
Each year at the beginning of the first university term, I am fortunate to have the good company of the new batch of Drama Masters students, who come to me for an intense week of soul searching and sole making. It is always an inspiring and invigorating experience and this year was certainly no different.
The group that arrived was made up of 5 feisty young women, all gorgeous and talented, and it was an absolute privilege to work with these bright young stars in the making. They all threw themselves into the project with vigor and enthusiasm and the shoes they produced were fantastic.
So, to give you a taste of what the workshop was about, here are a few more images for you to enjoy.
It was a wonderful workshop and fun was had by all.
