These sculptures were made by Johannes Maswanganye, a representation of the six groups that are depicted in the gallery: Hananwa, Boer (settlers), Tsonga, Baphalaborwa, Lobedu, and Venda. The Hananwa, Lobedu and Baphalaborwa form the Northern Sotho group.
